Shrek , Tuesday, 10th of August 2010 04:13:59 PM

then it says later on...''bake cookies, rotating sheets halfway

through...let cool on sheets''

What are baking sheets? And do

they mean parchment paper?

Does lined mean on the bottom?

DO NOT use wax paper as previously suggested. Parchment paper

''drop dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment'' - you
roonie
would be using 2 tablespoons to form a roundish ball. You then drop the

dough from the teaspoon onto baking sheets - which are flat metal or glass

paper which is not greased. You put the paper ON the baking sheets, and
the cookie dough on the parchment paper.

Baking sheets are also known as cookie sheets. They are

rectangular, & may have a slight edge. Some are completely flat. Do NOT

confuse parchment paper with wax paper. The wax will melt in the oven.

store. It keeps things from sticking to the pan. It sounds like you are

making ''drop'' cookies. That means you don't have to roll the dough out,
or make shapes. You just drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet.
Just make sure you keep the spoonfuls close to the same size, & leave some
room between them, because some cookies spread. Rotating the pans halfway
through just keeps them cooking evenly. Good luck!

Baking sheets means cookie sheets, or shallow flat pans. You
TYTY
cover the bottom of the pan with parchment paper, then drop the dough by

& cut out cookies). Midway through the bake time, you switch the places

the cookie sheets are in the oven, moving the bottom one to the top rack,

& the top one to the bottom rack. This keeps the cookies from getting too
brown on either the top or the bottom. This allows you to bake more than
one pan of cookies at a time.

Parchment paper is a kind of paper designed to bake on, available at many
grocery stores, & any good kitchen supply store.
